Job Purpose: 

Develop and manage engaging content for the club’s social media platforms to strengthen its online presence, attract members, and promote sporting events, activities, and facilities. Ensure a positive and interactive online environment by moderating community interactions and aligning content with the club’s vision. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

Content Creation: 

  • Create dynamic and visually appealing content (posts, reels, stories, and videos) tailored to the sporting club's identity and audience. 

  • Showcase the club's activities, events, teams, and facilities through compelling graphics, photography, and video content. 

  • Write engaging and on-brand captions that highlight the club’s achievements and events. 

  • Develop and maintain a content calendar, ensuring timely delivery of posts that align with the club’s marketing goals. 

  • Experiment with new content trends and formats to boost engagement, including user-generated content and live streaming during events. 

Social Media Moderation: 

  • Monitor and manage all club social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, etc.). 

  • Respond promptly to messages, comments, and inquiries, ensuring a friendly and professional tone. 

  • Address member feedback, escalating issues to relevant departments when necessary. 

  • Enforce community guidelines to foster a respectful and positive online environment. 

  • Monitor the sentiment around the club’s brand and take proactive measures to manage its reputation. 

Event Promotion and Coverage: 

  • Collaborate with the Events and Sports departments to promote matches, tournaments, and other club activities. 

  • Provide live coverage of key sporting events, capturing highlights and engaging moments for social media. 

  • Partner with athletes and coaches to showcase their experiences and achievements. 

Analytics and Performance Monitoring: 

  • Track social media performance using analytics tools and report on key metrics (engagement, reach, growth, etc.). 

  • Identify content trends and use data insights to improve strategies and maximize reach. 

  • Recommend and implement new strategies to enhance audience engagement and member acquisition. 

Collaboration and Coordination: 

  • Work closely with the marketing team to align social media content with broader campaigns and initiatives. 

  • Coordinate with photographers, videographers, and designers to produce high-quality visuals. 

  • Build relationships with sports influencers, partners, and local sports communities to expand the club’s reach. 

 

Qualifications and Skills: 

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field. 

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in content creation or social media management, preferably in the sports or hospitality sector. 

Skills: 

  • Proficiency in social media platforms and tools (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.). 

  • Strong content creation skills, including graphic design (Adobe Creative Suite or Canva) and video editing (e.g., Premiere Pro, CapCut). 

  • Knowledge of analytics tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics) to monitor performance. 

  • Excellent communication and copywriting skills with a creative mindset. 

  • Passion for sports and understanding of sports culture is a plus. 

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
