Event Planner - KIN Nursery

Mission:

We are seeking a creative and organized Event Planner to coordinate and execute engaging events for children and families at our nursery located within the club. This role requires a passion for child-focused events, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate with nursery staff, club management, and external vendors to ensure successful event delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and Organize Events: Develop and manage event concepts for children's activities, family days, holiday celebrations, educational workshops, and seasonal events within the nursery.
  • Budget Management: Create and adhere to event budgets, ensuring cost-effective planning while maintaining high standards.
  • Vendor Coordination: Liaise with suppliers and vendors for services such as catering, entertainment, decorations, and event equipment.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with nursery staff and club management to align events with nursery programs and club standards.
  • Promotion and Communication: Design and implement promotional materials for events, including invitations, social media posts, newsletters, and flyers.
  • On-site Event Management: Oversee the setup and execution of events, ensuring all activities run smoothly and safely for children and families.
  • Post-event Evaluation: Collect feedback from participants and nursery staff to continuously improve event quality and effectiveness.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all events comply with the health and safety standards for children’s activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Planning, Hospitality, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in planning and executing children’s or family-focused events.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Creative mindset with attention to detail.
  • Experience working in a nursery, school, or family-centered environment is a plus.

What do you need to perform your role:

To perform your job successfully, you need to have the following minimum requirements:

Education and experience:

Some basketball coaching experience in an academy setting, especially with young age groups.
Proficient in IT skills.
Desirable additional coaching education.
Desirable sports-related degree.
Strong desire to learn and develop within the KODE basketball philosophy and KODE College.
Possess KODE character, demonstrating respect, discipline, teamwork, and a positive attitude.
Ability to work full-time hours, including weekends and varying schedules as needed.

Job Purpose:

Key Responsibilities: 

Content Creation: 

  • Create dynamic and visually appealing content (posts, reels, stories, and videos) tailored to the sporting club's identity and audience. 

  • Showcase the club's activities, events, teams, and facilities through compelling graphics, photography, and video content. 

  • Write engaging and on-brand captions that highlight the club’s achievements and events. 

  • Develop and maintain a content calendar, ensuring timely delivery of posts that align with the club’s marketing goals. 

  • Experiment with new content trends and formats to boost engagement, including user-generated content and live streaming during events. 

Social Media Moderation: 

  • Monitor and manage all club social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, etc.). 

  • Respond promptly to messages, comments, and inquiries, ensuring a friendly and professional tone. 

  • Address member feedback, escalating issues to relevant departments when necessary. 

  • Enforce community guidelines to foster a respectful and positive online environment. 

  • Monitor the sentiment around the club’s brand and take proactive measures to manage its reputation. 

Event Promotion and Coverage: 

  • Collaborate with the Events and Sports departments to promote matches, tournaments, and other club activities. 

  • Provide live coverage of key sporting events, capturing highlights and engaging moments for social media. 

  • Partner with athletes and coaches to showcase their experiences and achievements. 

Analytics and Performance Monitoring: 

  • Track social media performance using analytics tools and report on key metrics (engagement, reach, growth, etc.). 

  • Identify content trends and use data insights to improve strategies and maximize reach. 

  • Recommend and implement new strategies to enhance audience engagement and member acquisition. 

Collaboration and Coordination: 

  • Work closely with the marketing team to align social media content with broader campaigns and initiatives. 

  • Coordinate with photographers, videographers, and designers to produce high-quality visuals. 

  • Build relationships with sports influencers, partners, and local sports communities to expand the club’s reach. 

 

Qualifications and Skills: 

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field. 

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in content creation or social media management, preferably in the sports or hospitality sector. 

Skills: 

  • Proficiency in social media platforms and tools (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.). 

  • Strong content creation skills, including graphic design (Adobe Creative Suite or Canva) and video editing (e.g., Premiere Pro, CapCut). 

  • Knowledge of analytics tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics) to monitor performance. 

  • Excellent communication and copywriting skills with a creative mindset. 

  • Passion for sports and understanding of sports culture is a plus.

Job purpose: 

You will be the customers’ voice and guardian through handling a variety of inbound interactions with potential and/or active members’ inquiries, complaints and feedback and attending to their inquiries in a professional and positive manner to ensure their satisfaction, trust, engagement and advocacy.  

The objective is to achieve “One call Resolution” yet in case the issue is beyond your scope, you immediately redirect it to the concerned department or employee and ensure the case is closed within the set SLAs and report and escalate to the manager to ensure the case is closed. 

What do we expect from you:  

 

  1. Key duties: 

  • Receiving and attending to members’ inquiries and complaints mainly through all communication channels such as phone calls and/or the mobile application, emails and whatsapp  

  • Using the system in place to record and track the complaints or inquiries or any feedback. 

  • Use and stick to the set FAQ (Frequently asked questions) list or the set scripts to answer inquiries or solve complaints 

  • Timely direct the inquiry or the complaint to the concerned department including Customer Experience team 

  • Follow up with the concerned department(s) to ensure reported inquiry/complaint is closed as per the set SLAs 

  • Close the ticket on the system  and ensure documenting their interactions with the customers when necessary 

  • Escalate as applicable in case inquiry or complaint is not timely resolved 

  • Process the regular customer pulse surveys in different forms (written or phone calls…etc ) as directed by the Manager including sending reminders to ensure highest response rate 

  • Conduct sample calls to gain detailed personalized feedback and consolidating results

  • Being in constant communication with the customers and having visibility on their satisfaction and frustrations, you are expected to: come up with ideas to delight customers and or to add to the business
